Pastor Flowers after much reservation yielded to the call of the gospel ministry and was licensed to preach July 18, 1993 by the Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. After relocating to the Maryland area in July of 1997 he joined Glendale Baptist Church now known as The Sanctuary at Kingdom Square. Under the influential teaching, training and leadership of his Pastor Anthony G Maclin, he was molded into the leader he is today. After relocating back to the Charlotte area, he went back to Greater Fellowship where he continued his ministry and was afforded the opportunity to become an ordained minister of the Gospel.

Not long after Pastor Flowers was ordained, he served as interim Pastor of the First Church of God of Marshville N.C., later becoming Pastor. By the leadership of God he was able to lead the church in the completion of renovation projects and was also instrumental in the development of leadership organization and training.

By the adherence to the voice of God, Pastor Flowers accepted his call to the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church Waxhaw N.C. in August 2008. He and the congregation are working together in the expectation of God making great advancements through them for the Kingdom. Under his leadership he led the church in many renovation projects and in the acquisition of property where it is his desire to develop it to accommodate ministry and programs to aid the community. Through his inspirational preaching, teaching and creating an atmosphere of love the membership has more than doubled. Additionally, many new ministries have been formed to accommodate the increasing need for spiritual growth. Pastor Flowers is currently serving as the Christian Education Director for the Lanes Creek Baptist Association.

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Religion and Philosophy from Shaw University Raleigh N.C., he is currently pursuing his master’s degree of Divinity at Gardner-Webb Theological Seminary Boiling Springs N.C.
